Betty Jane Montgomery Yauger
Betty Jane Montgomery Yauger, age 74, of McClellandtown, Pa., and formerly of Uniontown, Pa., died Friday, February 11, 2005, in the Uniontown Hospital.
She was born July 29, 1930, in Westmoreland County, Pa., daughter of William B. and Olive (Hough) Montgomery.
Mrs. Yauger spent many years as a Youth Teacher at Central Christian Church in Uniontown and was a member of Christ United Methodist Church, Uniontown.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Frank William “Bill” Yauger, a grandson, Daniel Montgomery, a brother, Frank J. Montgomery, two sisters, Virginia Farr and Phyllis J. Sicina, and her parents.
Surviving are three daughters: Mona Lisa Montgomery Reid and her husband, Matthew, of Uniontown, Pa., Donna Shipley and her husband, Kenneth, of Lemont Furnace, Pa., and Terri Walls and her husband, David, of Farmington, Missouri; two sons: Joseph William Montgomery and his wife, Mildred, of McClellandtown, Pa., and Thomas Yauger of Maple Creek, Pa.; six grandchildren: Michael Shipley, Jason Shipley, Dorothy Louise Miller, Anna Mae Miller, Angel Reid and Melony Reid; and five great grandchildren: Scott Kovach, Amy Renee Cook, Ann Harris, Jacob Harris and Morgan Harris.
Friends will be received in the JEROME W. SHELL FUNERAL HOME, 164 South Mount Vernon Avenue, Uniontown, Pa., today from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. and on Tuesday, February 15, until 11 a.m., the hour of Service with the Rev. Emily Byrd officiating.
Interment will follow in Wesley Chapel Cemetery, Scottdale, Pa.
Visitation was also held Sunday from 7 to 9 p.m.
