Marie C. “Nunie” Schwenzfeier Pollock, age 93, of Dunlevy, Pa., died Saturday, February 12, 2005, in Justine’s Personal Care Home, Allenport, Pa. She was born on October 3, 1911, in Agawam, Massachusetts, the daughter of Curt and Freda (Cook) Schwenzfeier.

She was a member of the Fayette City (Pa.) United Methodist Church and a former member of The Order of the Eastern Star.

Formerly of Florida, she has resided in Dunlevy since 1992.

Mrs. Pollock was a bookkeeper and cashier from 1928 to 1950 for the former Books Shoe Store in Uniontown, Pa.

She was preceded in death by her parents, a sister, Helen Zaring, and two brothers, Curt and Arthur Schwenzfeier.

Survivors include her husband, Joseph M. Pollock, whom she married on August 31, 1932; a daughter and son-in-law, Carolyn and Jerry Gillen of Belle Vernon, Pa.; five grandchildren: Jane Baxter of Georgia, Patricia Yuhasz of Holiday Park, Pa., Barbara Mitchell of West Newton, Pa., Jeffrey Gillen of Rostraver Township, Pa., and Dr. Steven Gillen of Scott Township, Pa.; and 10 great grandchildren.

Friends will be received in the SHELBY D. FERGUSON FUNERAL HOME INC. AND CREMATION SERVICE, A Golden Rule Member Firm, (724-929-5300), 700 Broad Avenue, Belle Vernon, PA 15012 today from 6 to 9 p.m. where Funeral Services will be held on Tuesday, February 15, at 11 a.m. with the Rev. Scott Berkley, Pastor of the Fells United Methodist Church, officiating.

Interment will follow in LaFayette Memorial Park, Brier Hill, Pa.
