John J. Bobbish Jr.
John J. Bobbish Jr., 62, of New Salem, Pa., passed away Wednesday, Feb. 16, 2005, in Ruby Memorial Hospital, Morgantown, W.Va. He was born Sept. 3, 1942, in New Salem, son of the late John J. and Ann Lemanitz Bobbish.
He was a member of the St. Procopius R.C. Church of New Salem, a retired heavy equipment operator and a member of Operators Local No. 66 of Connellsville, a member of the Newboro Indians Club and the Fairbank Rod and Gun Club.
He is survived by his wife of 39 years, Rosemarie Rondelli Bobbish; a son, John Bobbish III and his wife, Cecile of New Salem; a daughter, Christine Bobbish of Bronxville, N.Y.; and his sister, Patricia Bobbish of Uniontown.
John was a great animal lover and in addition to his family is survived by his cherished pets, Shane, Snowball and his grand-dog, Wiley. Over the years, John, Rose and their children shared their home and enjoyed their other wonderful pets, who have since passed on, Copper, Valentine, Muffin, Butch, Duke, Lady and Bozo.
Friends will be received in the DEARTH FUNERAL HOME, New Salem, on Friday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday, Feb. 19, 2005, in the St. Procopius R.C. Church, New Salem, with the Rev. Fr. James L. Popochock as Celebrant. Interment will follow in St. Thomas Church Cemetery, Footedale. A Parish Wake Service will be held in the funeral home on Friday at 3:30 p.m.
