Harry W. Seehoffer
Harry W. Seehoffer, age 84, of Uniontown, Pa., died on Thursday, February 17, 2005, at home.
He was born on February 11, 1921, in Uniontown, Pa., son of Gustav Seehoffer and Anna (Cope) Seehoffer.
Harry was a member of Calvary United Methodist Church in Uniontown and the Vic-Dor-Allen Sunday School Group.
He was a retired Electrician from United States Steel Mining, Everson Shop, and a member of United Mine Workers of America Local 19012, and The Golden Age Club.
He graduated from Uniontown High School.
During World War II he served his country with the United States Navy, was a member of the North Union Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 8543, The Military Rites Honor Guard, and American Legion Post 51 in Uniontown.
His parents, two sisters, Clara Bush and Helen Wheeler, and a brother, Emerson Seehoffer, preceded him in death.
Surviving are his beloved wife, Mary Belle (Jones) Seehoffer; three children: Dewey B. Miller and his wife, Judith, of Jacksonville, Florida, Michael B. Miller and his wife, Cathy, of New Salem, Pa., and Betty Sue Baer and her husband, Joseph, of Glassboro, New Jersey; eight grandchildren: 10 great grandchildren; a sister, Lena Pukl of Uniontown, Pa.; a brother, Howard R. Seehoffer and his wife, Sue, of Uniontown, Pa.; and many nieces and nephews. He also leaves behind his beloved cat, “Baby”.
Friends will be received in the STEPHEN R. HAKY FUNERAL HOME INC. AT SYLVAN HEIGHTS CEMETERY, A Dignity Memorial Provider, 603 North Gallatin Avenue Extension, Uniontown, Pa., today from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.
Visitation continues in CALVARY UNITED METHODIST CHURCH, 34 CLARK STREET, Uniontown, on Saturday, February 19, from 11 a.m. until 1 p.m., the hour of the Funeral Service with Pastor Maryann J. Long officiating.
Entombment will follow in Chapel of Memories Mausoleum at Sylvan Heights Cemetery where Military Honors will be accorded by North Union V.F.W. Pos 8543.
