Mary Christina Maffasanti DiGuglielmo
Mary Christina Maffasanti DiGuglielmo of Grindstone, Pa., died Wednesday, February 16, 2005, in Uniontown Hospital, Uniontown, Pa.
She was born on May 6, 1917, in Wilmerding, Pa., daughter of John and Maria (Caldriri) Maffasanti.
Mary and her husband, Dom, were the owners of Dom’s Foodland in Grindstone.
She enjoyed her cabin at Deep Creek Lake, Maryland, with her family and friends.
She was predeceased by her parents and two brothers, Ronald Reck and Vito Reck.
She is survived by her husband, Dominick A. DiGuglielmo; three children: Beverly Lapp and her husband, Chuck, of McDonald, Pa., Ronald DiGuglielmo and his wife, Lois, of Grindstone, Pa., and Donald DiGuglielmo and his wife, Ellen, of Uniontown, Pa.; and four grandchildren: Ronald DiGuglielmo and his wife, Keri, of Brownsville, Pa., Michael DiGuglielmo and Scott DiGuglielmo both of Uniontown, Pa., and Carly Lapp of McDonald, Pa.
Friends will be received in the SKIRPAN FUNERAL HOME, 135 Park Street, Brownsville, Pa., today from 2 to 4 and 6 to 9 p.m. where a Prayer Service will be held on Saturday, February 19, at 9:30 a.m.
A Funeral Mass follows at 10 a.m. in Saint Cecelia Roman Catholic Church, Grindstone, with the Rev. Father John A. Sedlak as Celebrant.
Entombment will follow in LaFayette Memorial Park, Brier Hill, Pa.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Heart Association or the Grindstone Lion’s Club.
A Parish Wake Service will be held today at 3:30 p.m.
Brownsville Sons of Italy will have Services in the Funeral Home today at 4 p.m.
Partner Parish Rosary Confraternity will recite the Rosary today at 7:30 p.m.
Visitation was also held Thursday from 6 to 9 p.m.
