LAUREL HIGHLANDS CHAPTER, Pennsylvania Restaurant Association, has available applications for scholarships. Individuals 17 years of age or older who have been accepted for enrollment at a post-secondary school of the food service/hospitality industry, may obtain an application from any member of the Laurel Highlands Chapter or from Joe Carei, president, at 724-437-9463 or from Irene O’Brien, chairman, at 724-583-2176. CALIFORNIA UNITED METHODIST CHURCH, corner of Third and Liberty streets, California, will hold its annual winter carnival Wednesday at 6 p.m. at the social room. Games, activities and refreshments will be featured. It is open to the public.
