Melissa Ann Rerko, daughter of John and Sheila Rerko of Smithfield, is engaged to wed James Michael Jones of Smithfield. The bride-to-be is a 2001 graduate of Albert Gallatin High School and a 2004 graduate of Laurel Business Institute with an associate degree in early childhood education. She is a group supervisor at Panda Care Inc.

He fiance is the son of Michael and Patricia Jones of Smock. He is a 1997 graduate of Langham Creek of Houston, Texas, and is employed at Roomful Express of Uniontown.

An Oct. 1 wedding at Ss. Cyril and Methodius Church in Fairchance is planned.
