Ann Elaine Bilsborrow Ford
On the 17th of February 2005, at the age of 57, Ann Elaine Bilsborrow Ford’s courageous 14-year battle against cancer came to a peaceful end in the Uniontown Hospital as she was called home by her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, surrounded by her loving family.
Ann was born on November 3, 1947, in Albion, Michigan, daughter of Marjorie Lynn Elmer Bilsborrow, who survives and lives in Coldwater, Michigan, and the now late George Richmond Bilsborrow.
She grew up in Coldwater, Michigan, graduated from Coldwater High School in 1966 and from Michigan State University in 1970 with a degree in psychology.
Ann worked for the Michigan Department of Assistance in Coldwater until she married Nicholas Steven Ford in 1972. The couple moved to Uniontown where they raised their children and have lived ever since.
In addition to her mother, Ann is survived by her husband, Nicholas Ford, and their children, Carolyn, Michael and Douglas, all of whom live at home.
She is also survived by two brothers: Pastor Kenneth Bilsborrow and James Bilsborrow and his wife, Jacki, and their children Jeff, Jacksy, Josh and Jay, all from Coldwater, Michigan.
Ann was a member of Saint John The Evangelist Roman Catholic Church and The Christian Women’s Organization.
She was also a volunteer for the Crisis Hotline.
She drove a van for M&R Transportation for children with special needs.
Ann was a gifted vocalist. She was a longtime member of Saint John The Evangelist Adult Choir and was one of the Cantors.
She also sang with the Uniontown Sweet Adelines and was a member of several quartets.
She was on the Executive Board of the American Federation of Musicians Local 596 and sang with the local country band “Just Country”.
Friends will be received in the THOMAS M. DOLFI FUNERAL HOME, 136 North Gallatin Avenue, Uniontown, Pa., today from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. and on Tuesday, February 22, until 9 a.m. at which time a Prayer Service will be held.
A Mass of Christian Burial follows at 9:30 a.m. in Saint John The Evangelist Roman Catholic Church, Jefferson Street, with the Rev. Father James Clark as Celebrant.
Interment follows in Mount Saint Macrina Cemetery, Uniontown.
