Ellen Elizabeth Thomas Hubbs, age 82, of Arlington, Virginia, and formerly of Markleysburg, Pa., passed away Sunday, February 20, 2005, in Arlington Hospital.

She was born November 29, 1922, in Garrett County, Maryland, the Daughter of Orville and Jessie (Friend) Thomas.

Mrs. Hubbs was a member of the United Methodist Church in Arlington, Virginia.

She was preceded in death by her parents, sister, Florence Thomas Sherwin, and brother, Wilbert Thomas.

Surviving are a daughter, Carolyn Rachele of Dell City, Virginia; a son, Gene Hubbs of Annandale, Virginia; five Grandchildren and two Great Grandchildren.

Friends will be received in the RODNEY S. TURNER FUNERAL HOME, 295 Main Street, Markleysburg, Pa., today (Monday, February 21) from 7 to 9 p.m.

Interment will be in Asher Glade Cemetery, Friendsville, Maryland.
