Helen Gyugo Roos
Helen G. (Gyugo) Roos, age 90, of Point Marion, Pa., died Wednesday, April 20, 2005.
She was born in Bessemer, Fayette County, Pa., on April 29, 1914, daughter of Paul and Mary (Piscar) Gyugo.
She was retired from the now former Houze Glass Company in Point Marion with 25 years of service.
Helen was a member of Saint Hubert Roman Catholic Church in Point Marion and the Rosary-Altar/Christian Mothers Society.
She was predeceased by her husband, Francis Roos on January 29, 1994, her parents and four brothers, George, James, Paul and Michael.
Helen is survived by a sister, Virgie Walsh of Leetonia, Ohio; and by several nieces and nephews.
Friends will be received in the LOUIS E. RUDOLPH FUNERAL HOME, 15 Main Street, Point Marion, Pa., today, April 22, from 5 to 8 p.m. and Saturday, April 23, from 9 a.m. until 10:30 a.m. Brief prayers will be said at 10:30 a.m.
A Mass of Christian Burial follows at 11 a.m. in Saint Hubert Roman Catholic Church (at the Lions Club Building) with the Rev. Father Joseph L. Sredzinski officiating.
Interment will follow in the Point Marion Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Saint Hubert Roman Catholic Church Building Fund in her memory.
The Parish Rosary will be recited in the funeral home today at 8 p.m.
