Mildred (Millie) Demniak

Mildred (Millie) Demniak, 78, of McClellandtown, Pa., died Sunday, Feb. 20, 2005, in the Uniontown Hospital. Millie was born July 3, 1926, a daughter of Charles and Anne Semosky.

She was a member of St. Mary’s Church, Leckrone, Pa., member of St. Mary’s Choir and a member of St. Mary’s Rosary Society. She was also a member of the All Saint’s Funeral Choir. Millie loved to sing and sang at funeral masses for both St. Mary’s and All Saint’s. Millie was also a member of Jednota Branch 245 and served as secretary for a number of years. Prior to her poor health conditions, she worked at the German Township voting precinct in McClellandtown, Pa.

She was predeceased in death by her parents, her husband, Joseph Demniak in December, 1974, and her sister, Mary Helt Baran of Cleveland, Ohio, in January 2005.

Millie was a homemaker and enjoyed baking and trying new recipes. She was a loving and caring mom to seven children, JoAnn Syrek and husband, John of Jefferson, Pa., Marie (MiMi) Spak and husband, Joe (Beeb) of Leckrone, Pa., Joseph (JoJ0) Demniak at home, Mark Demniak and wife, Cindy of Leckrone, Pa., Michele Santella and husband, Dennis of Masontown, Pa., Michael Demniak of Cleveland, Ohio, and David Demniak and wife, Cindy of Carmichaels, Pa.

She was a special “Baba” to grandchildren, Kristy Hunyady, Lisa Brown, Ashley Jo Spak, Craig Santella, Alex Santella, Marquis Demniak, Jordyn Demniak, Hayden Demniak, Macey Demniak and Hollie Sabol.

She is also survived by her brothers, Charles Semosky of Willowick, Ohio, John Semosky of Uniontown, Pa., and Steve Semosky of Fort Myers, Fla.

Friends will be received at the HAKY FUNERAL HOME INC., A Dignity Memorial Provider, 515 North Main St., Masontown, Pa., today from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m., and on Wednesday, Feb. 23, 2005, until 10:30 a.m., when Prayers of Transfer will be said. A Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 11 a.m., in Our Lady of Perpetual Help, St. Mary Roman Catholic Church, with the Rev. Donald Trexler as Celebrant. Interment will be in Our Lady of Perpetual Help St. Mary’s Cemetery. The Rosary Society will recite the Rosary today at 3 p.m. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to Our Lady of Perpetual Help, St. Mary’s Church, Leckrone, Pa.
