Valerie Lynn Deter, 45, of Waynesburg, Pa., died Saturday, Feb. 19, 2005, in Greene County Memorial Hospital, Waynesburg. Mrs. Deter was a homemaker.

On June 18, 1998, she married Randall “Fred” Deter, who survives.

Also surviving are a son, David Howard; a daughter,, Jennifer Howard-McCombie; a stepdaughter, Robin Bramhall; six grandchildren; two brothers, William Fairman of Strongsville, Ohio, and Donald Fairman of Waynesburg; and two sisters, Alexis Mayle of Waynesburg, and Carola Schifko of Mather.

Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m., on Wednesday in the Behm Funeral Homes Inc., 1477 Jefferson Rd., Jefferson, where services will be held on Thursday, Feb. 24, 2005, at 11 a.m.
