Willis C. Ray
Willis C. Ray, age 85, of Uniontown, Pa., passed away Monday, April 18, 2005, in Uniontown Hospital.
He was born April 29, 1919, in Roxboro, North Carolina, son of Robert Ray and Nora Yellock Ray.
Willis was a member of Mount Olivet Baptist Church, a World War II veteran, and retired from United States Steel’s Robena Mine.
He was preceded in death by his parents, one son, Ernest W. Ray, two brothers, Robert and William Ray, and one sister, Nokomas Ray.
Surviving are his wife, Geraldine Larry Ray; eight children, Jimmy D. Brundidge and his wife, Elaine, of Cleveland, Ohio, Nokomis Ray Lee and her husband, Arthur Lee, of Flint, Michigan, Elaine Ogletree and her husband Maynard, Kim Harris and her husband Mattathias, Darneise Sykes and her husband Dennis, Donald Ray and his friend Lisa Bane, James Ray and his wife Serenity, and Jamie Ray all of Uniontown, Pa.; nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
Friends will be received in MOUNT OLIVET BAPTIST CHURCH, 57 Stewart Avenue, Uniontown, on Saturday, April 23, from 10 a.m. until 12 noon, the hour of Service.
Interment will follow in Sylvan Heights Cemetery, Uniontown, Pa.
