William E. Mitchell Sr.
William E. Mitchell Sr., 76, of Gibbon Glade, Pa., passed away Tuesday, Feb. 22, 2005, in Uniontown Hospital. He was born Jan. 18, 1929, in Somerfield, Pa., a son of the late Donald F. and Alice (Boyd) Mitchell.
Mr. Mitchell was Methodist by faith.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Fanny Schroyer and a brother, Glen B. Boyd.
Surviving are his wife, Arminta Gladys (Silbaugh) Mitchell; a son, William E. Mitchell Jr. and wife, Charlene of Farmington, Pa.; two daughters, Linda Lou Kessler of Star City, W.Va., and Judy Diane Green of Addition, Pa.; seven grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; three brothers, Harry James Mitchell and Norman Allen Mitchell, both of Punxyutawney, Pa., and Henry H. Mitchell of Markleysburg, Pa.; a sister, Caroline Boyd of Searights, Pa.; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Friends will be received in the CRAWFORD FUNERAL HOME OF FARMINGTON, PA., today from 2 to 4 and 7 to 8:30 p.m., the hour of service, with the Rev. Dale Rexrode officiating.
