UNITED MINE WORKERS OF AMERICA, Local 1248, will hold a regular union meeting at 10 a.m. Saturday at the Footedale fire hall. CHRISTIAN MOTHERS of All Saints Church, Masontown, are making homemade pieroghi each Monday through Friday during Lent from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the parish social hall. Fresh or frozen pieroghi is $4 a dozen. Pieroghi cooked with butter and onion is $4.50. To order, call 724-583-9375.
Ss. Cyril & Methodius Church, and its chapel at Fairchance, will hold its semi-annual spaghetti diner on March 13 at the church hall. Tickets are $6 for adults and #3 for children under age 12. Serving will begin a noon. Tickets will also be sold at the door. Public is invited. Take-out dinners will be available and containers will be furnished. SMOCK HISTORICAL SOCIETY is selling homemade long rolls for the Easter season. Order deadline is March 12. Delivery will be on March 19. at 11 a.m. Nut, apricot, poppy seed and prune rolls are $7 each. To place orders, call 724-677-2415.
UNIONTOWN SENIOR CITIZENS will hold their monthly dance, “Valentine’s Dance, Heart and Flowers’ on Monday from 7 to 10 p.m. at the Uniontown VFW Post 47 Hall, West Main Street. Dave Dahl’s Orchestra will provide music for square, round, line and other dancing. Refreshments will be served and door prizes awarded.
