Donald G. Hershberger
Donald G. Hershberger, 62, of Springs, Pa., went to be with the Lord, Thursday, February 24, 2005, at his home. Born March 6, 1942, in Mt. Pleasant, Pa., he was the son of George A. & Evelyn (Spaugy) Hershberger, Bull Skin Township, Fayette Co., Pa. He was preceded in death by his wife, Beth Ann (Lewis) Hershberger.
Mr. Hershberger was a member of Springs Mennonite Church. He was the owner and operator of Yoder-Hershberger Insurance Agency, Grantsville, Md. and was a Certified Insurance Counselor. He received his B.S. degree in Mathematics and Physics from Otterbein College, Columbus, Ohio and his M.B.A. in Business from the University of Detroit. Mr. Hershberger was a member of the Chorus of the Potomac, Barbershop Chorus; former member of Salisbury Lions Club and was an avid motorcyclist and golfer.
In addition to his parents, he is survived by his son, Andy Hershberger and fianc?e, April Corley, Springs; his fianc?e, Christy Slaven and her son, Robert, LaVale, Md.; his brother, Kenneth L. Hershberger and wife, Donna, Johnstown, Pa.; his sister, Becky Hershberger, Bull Skin Twp.; nephew, Ken R. Hershberger and wife Andrea and niece, Dana Bambino and husband, Rich.
Friends will be received at the NEWMAN FUNERAL HOMES, P.A., 179 Miller St., Grantsville, Md. on Friday 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Memorial services will be conducted on Saturday at noon at Springs Mennonite Church with the Rev. Steven Heatwole officiating. Private interment will take place in Springs Cemetery. Expressions of sympathy may be directed to the Donald Hershberger Cancer Fund.
