Gilbert C. Eichhorn, 82, of Uniontown, Pa., died Monday, Feb. 21, 2005, in the Uniontown Hospital. He was born in Cleveland, Ohio, son of the late Gladys and Maurice Eichhorn.

Gilbert Eichhorn served with the U.S. Marines during World War II. He worked as a salesman in the Uniontown area, and after retirement, as a golf ranger at the Nemacolin Woodlands.

Surviving are his wife of 47 years, Theresa Fodula; children, Debra Jeff and husband Pete of Grand Rapids, Mich., Karen Stepanek and husband Libor of Longmont, Colo. and Jeff Eichhorn and wife Gisele of Abington, Pa.; four grandchildren, Amy, Laura, Aaron and Daniel; and two great-grandchildren, Alexa and Cameron.

Private visitation will be in the STEPHEN R. HAKY FUNERAL HOME, Uniontown, with the Rev. Timothy Colisino officiating on Saturday, Feb. 26, 2005. Public visitation will also be held Saturday from 2 to 5 p.m., when military honors will be accorded by Amvets Post 103 of Hopwood.
