Barbara “Bertha” Lacotta Crockett
Barbara “Bertha” Lacotta Crockett, age 81, of California, Pa., died Thursday, February 24, 2005.
She was born July 28, 1923, in West Brownsville, Pa., the daughter of Paul Lacotta and Mary (Digon) Lacotta.
“Bertha” was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas Crockett on April 5, 1976, one brother, Edward Lacotta, and her parents.
Left to cherish her memory are her children: Bonnie and Ronald Skaggs of Tarpon Springs, Florida, Thomas and Karen Crockett of Tampa, Florida, Kathy and Joe Grooms of California, Pa., and Donna and Parke Bongiorno of California, Pa.; and a brother, Ralph Lacotta of Valparaiso, Indiana. She also leaves behind seven grandchildren: Tobi Lacey, Shane Grooms, Seth Grooms, Kami Grooms, Karli Grillo, Amber Bongiorno and Parker Bongiorno; and four great grandchildren: Jerri Grillo, Mason Grillo, Colton Lacey and Maddie Lacey.
Friends will be received in the MARISCOTTI FUNERAL HOME INC., Anthony N. Mariscotti, Supervisor, 323 Fourth Street, California, Pa., on Sunday, February 27, from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. and Monday, February 28, until 11 a.m. when Funeral Services will be held with the Rev. Jana Quisenberry officiating.
Interment will follow in LaFayette Memorial Park, Brier Hill, Pa.
