LeRoy A. Marquis
LeRoy A. Marquis, age 89, of Cabbage Flats, Greensboro, Pa., died at 7:55 a.m. on Thursday, February 24, 2005, in his home.
He was born July 4, 1915, in Cross Creek, Pa., the son of Charles M. Marquis and Elizabeth Jeffries Marquis.
Mr. Marquis was a Construction Superintendent for C. J. Langenfelder and Son Inc. in Baltimore, Maryland.
He was an avid deer hunter and enjoyed gardening.
Mr. Marquis was affiliated with The Civilian Conservation Corps.
On December 5, 1936, he married Lila A. Rohrbaugh Marquis, who survives.
Also surviving are two sons: Ronald Marquis and his wife, Bonnie, of Phoenix, Arizona, and Gary Marquis and his wife, Peggy, of Cabbage Flats, Greensboro, Pa.; a daughter, Mrs. Faye Marquis Ellwood of Odenton, Maryland; six grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren; a sister, Mrs. Jean Mohr of Greenville, Pa.; a brother, Kenneth Marquis of Cottonwood, Arizona; and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, a grandson, Robert Marquis, and six brothers and sisters.
Friends will be received in the YOSKOVICH FUNERAL HOME, Martin J. Yoskovich, Funeral Director, 300 South Vine Street (Route 88), Carmichaels, Pa., on Monday, February 28, from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. where Funeral Services will be held Tuesday, March 1, at 1 p.m. with the Rev. R. Scott Teets officiating.
Interment will follow in Monongahela Hill Cemetery, Mapletown, Pa.
