Mary Jane (Cebulsky) Demsko, age 87, passed away peacefully on Thursday, February 24, 2005, in the Uniontown Hospital, Uniontown, Pa., with her loving family at her side. Mary was born on February 1, 1918, in Gilmore, Fayette County, Pa., the daughter of Cashmere J. Cebulsky and Mary Ann (Simko) Cebulsky.

She was a member of Saint Vincent DePaul Roman Catholic Church in Leisenring, Pa., where she was a member and officer of all organizations, Saint Polycarp Rosary Society and The Confraternity of Christian Mothers.

She was also a member of the Ladies Auxiliary of the West Leisenring Volunteer Fire Department.

Mary loved traveling, cooking and baking, but most of all loved taking care of her family!

Mary worked at the now former Houze Glass Factory in Point Marion, Pa., and the Howard Johnson Restaurant in Hopwood, Pa., and had been a maintenance worker at the Uniontown Professional Plaza and a waitress at The Addison Hotel in Addison, Pa.

Surviving are her loving children: Rosemary Demsko Cornish and her husband, Greg Cornish, of Wheeling, West Virginia, and Andrew W. Demsko Jr. and his wife, Shirley, of Uniontown, Pa.; two grandchildren whom she cherished: a grandson, Marc Demsko, with whom she shared her home and a granddaughter, Andrea Demsko, of Uniontown, Pa.; a sister, Anna Cebulsky Franks of Cornish Works, Fayette County, Pa.; two sisters-in-law: Mary Catherine Demsko and Ann Savel both of Uniontown, Pa.; and several loving nieces, nephews and cousins.

Friends will be received in the STEPHEN R. HAKY FUNERAL HOME INC. AT SYLVAN HEIGHTS CEMETERY, A Dignity Memorial Provider, 603 North Gallatin Avenue Extension, Uniontown, Pa., on Sunday from 7 to 9 p.m., Monday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. and on Tuesday, March 1, until 9:15 when Prayers of Transfer will be said.

A Mass of Christian Burial follows at 10 a.m. in Saint Vincent DePaul Roman Catholic Church, Leisenring, with the Rev. Father J. Edward McCullough as Celebrant.

Interment will follow in Sylvan Heights Cemetery, Uniontown.

Parish Rosary will be recited in the Funeral Home on Monday at 4 p.m.
