Nancy J. Griffith
Nancy J. Griffith, age 85, of Hopwood, Pa., passed away Friday, February 25, 2005.
She was born September 14, 1919, in Confluence, Pa., daughter of Charles Victor Griffith and Rebecca Jane Wright Griffith.
Nancy was a member of Hopwood United Methodist Church.
She was a longtime employee of the Federal Government who served in Saudi Arabia in the 1950’s and Germany and Washington, D.C., in the 1960’s as the Administrative Assistant to the Surgeon General of the United States Air Force. She retired in the early 1970’s to her home in Hopwood.
She was predeceased by her parents, two brothers, Dane V. Griffith and Glen W. Griffith, and a sister, Mary Lou Grimm.
Surviving are three sisters: Maxine M. White and Dorothy Crawford both of Hopwood, Pa., and Helen L. Blwyn of Canfield, Ohio; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Friends will be received in the DONALD R. CRAWFORD FUNERAL HOME, Hopwood, Pa., today from 1 to 3 and 7 to 9 p.m. and Monday, February 28, until 1 p.m. when Funeral Services will be held with the Rev. Madison Stringfellow officiating.
Interment will follow in Addison Cemetery, Addison, Pa.
