Ralph Bernard “Snuffy” Friend Sr., 67 years, of Smithfield, Pa., died Saturday, February 26, 2005, in Ruby Memorial Hospital, Morgantown, West Virginia.

He is survived by his wife of 43 years, Nellie Core Friend; children: Ralph “Bernard” Friend Jr. and wife, Debbie, of Fairchance, Pa., Carolyn “Dellie” Friend and Jim Wise III of Lake Lynn, Pa., Carl “Butch” Friend and wife Pam, Ronald “Jake” Friend, Donna Stevenson and husband, James Stevenson Jr., and Janet Snyder and husband, Larry, all of Smithfield, Pa., Armando Friend and wife, Brenda, of Lake Lynn, Pa., and Karen Verbus and husband, Jeff, of Smithfield, Pa.; 10 grandchildren; five step-grandchildren; five great grandchildren; brothers: David Friend Sr. of Mansfield, Ohio, and Frank Friend Jr. of Smithfield, Pa.; sister, Glenda Friend Ramono of California state; and several aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.
