Flames claim mobile home

A firefighter works with a hose at a mobile home fire along Shepherd Road, Wharton Township, early Friday morning. No injuries were reported after flames destroyed the mobile home. According to Fayette County 911, the blaze broke out around 3 a.m. Crews from Farmington, Ohiopyle, Markleysburg and Hopwood responded to the scene, along with Fayette EMS and Uniontown Fireman’s Ambulance Corps. The state police fire marshal was called to the scene to investigate the blaze. The American Red Cross responded to help the family left homeless by the fire.
