David DeRosa
David DeRosa, age 74, of Uniontown, Pa., died Thursday, December 30, 2004, in his residence.
He was born February 17, 1930 in Uniontown, Pa., son of Salvatore DeRosa and Sarah (Jones) DeRosa.
Mr. DeRosa was a veteran of the United States Army who served honorably in the Korean War.
He was formerly was employed with his father at the DeRosa Landscaping Company and retired from Long-Airdox Corporation after 29 years of service.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Thelma Jean Craft DeRosa, three brothers, Salvatore DeRosa Jr., Thomas DeRosa, Anthony DeRosa, two sisters, Mary Mattis and Ada Hubal, and his parents.
Surviving are a daughter, Laura Gay McDonald of Cleveland, Ohio; three brothers: Louis DeRosa and his wife Dolores, John DeRosa and his wife Ova, and Charles DeRosa all of Uniontown, Pa.; and two sisters: Nancy Sellers and her husband, Jerry, of Uniontown, and Linda Fisher and her husband, James, of Messmore, Pa.
Friends will be received in the JEROME W. SHELL FUNERAL HOME, 164 South Mount Vernon Avenue, Uniontown, Pa., today (Monday, January 3, 2005) until 11 a.m., the hour of Service with the Rev. Gerald Capan officiating.
Interment will follow in Walnut Hill Cemetery, Georges Township, Fayette County, Pa.
Visitation was also held Sunday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.
