Francis E. “Tom” O’Neal
Francis E. “Tom” O’Neal, 69, of Dunbar, Pa., died Tuesday, Jan. 4, 2005, in Presbyterian Hospital. He was born on July 31, 1935, in Trauger, Pa., a son of the late James and Artia (Danser) O’Neal.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Gloria J. O’Neal; and a brother, Edward “Bud” O’Neal.
Tom was a peacetime era veteran serving with the United States Army. He has, and has been for many years, a salesman for Home Warehouse. Tom enjoyed spending time farming, which was his favorite pastime.
Left to cherish his memory are his children, Tom’ O’Neal and his wife, Noi of Anchorage, Alaska, Jim O’Neal of Bitner, Pa., and his special friend, Connie Benko of Uniontown, Steven O’Neal, Karen Hull and husband, Joe and Debbie Brame and fianc?, Jerry Hawk, all of Bitner, Pa.; a dear family friend, Amy Keffer of Bitner, Pa.; his grandchildren, Courtney, Erica, Jerry “J.D.”, Alex, B.J., Steven, Nick, J.D., Danielle and Sammie; two sisters, Lila Brade of Pittsburgh, Pa., and Joyce Klingensmith of Florida; a brother, Bob O’Neal of Beaver Falls, Pa.; a brother-in-law, Father Allan Wasiecko of Papau, New Guinea; and a special nephew, Dennis May of Dubois, Pa.
Friends will be received in the STEPHEN R. HAKY FUNERAL HOME INC., A Dignity Memorial Provider, 603 North Gallatin Ave., Ext., Uniontown, today from 7 to 9 p.m., Thursday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m., and on Friday, Jan. 7, 2005, until 10 a.m., the hour of service, with the Rev. Roger Richter officiating, where military honors will be accorded by George C. Marshall AMVETS Post 103 of Hopwood. Interment will follow in Sylvan Heights Cemetery, Uniontown, Pa. In lieu of flowers, please make memorial donations to CORE or the American Cancer Society.
