Girl sought State police are looking for a 14-year-old girl with brown eyes and black hair who disappeared from a relative’s residence along Main Street in Uniontown early Sunday morning.
Jessica “Jessie” Anderson of Jumonville Road is about 5 feet 3 inches tall and weighs about 100 pounds. She was last seen wearing a black hooded sweatshirt with skull and crossbones on it, jeans, leopard print shoes and carrying a black bag with skull and crossbones pins on it.

Charges filed
Charges were filed against Gary L. Bradley, 31, and Sonya R. Harris, 36, both of Connellsville, for harassment after they allegedly caused a disturbance at Marlene’s Corner Bar on Dec. 27. Police said that Bradley punched another patron and caused injury to the unidentified victim’s left eye.

A Connellsville man was lodged in Fayette County Prison after he allegedly took a car for a test drive and then failed to return the vehicle to the lot.
Edward Bevan, 31, was arraigned Dec. 28 before District Justice Robert Breakiron on charges of unauthorized use of a motor vehicle and driving without a license.
Police said the vehicle was owned by Dirt Henry’s Car Lot.
Bevan was incarcerated after failing to post the $20,000 straight cash bond imposed by Breakiron.

Retail theft
Police are looking for an unknown white male that allegedly removed three digital cameras from Radio Shack on Dec. 29.
The man is described as being approximately 6-foot, 2-inches tall with brown hair and beard and in his 40s. At the time of the theft, the man was wearing blue jeans, an orange T-shirt and a long-sleeved denim shirt, said police.

Man arrested
Ronald Shawn Wingrove, 26, was arrested on charges of prohibited offensive weapons and harassment following a domestic fight with Barbara J. Wingrove, 47, at 103 First St. at 6:52 p.m. Friday, state police said. He was arraigned before District Justice Robert Breakiron and placed in the county prison in lieu of $10,000 straight cash bond.

Hit-and-run probed
State police said the unknown driver of a white Dodge minivan struck Tricia N. Sokol, 18, of Uniontown on West Penn Street Sunday at 6:20 p.m. One of her two passengers, Robert C. Rummell, 19, of Vanderbilt, suffered minor injuries and was taken to Uniontown Hospital in a private vehicle. The incident is under investigation and police ask anybody with information to call Trooper Charles Morrison at 724-439-7111.

City police said a dark purple, two-door Chevrolet Beretta owned by Rose Washington was stolen from in front of her 6 Wilson Ave. home between 7 p.m. Sunday and 3:30 a.m. Monday.

Warrant issued
An arrest warrant has been issued for Keith Aaron Thomas Jr., 19, of 44 Lemon St., Uniontown, for failing to appear at a Dec. 30 preliminary hearing into charges alleging that he was in possession of a stolen motorcycle on Dec. 22 along Emerson Lane and that he gave a false name to police, state police said. The hearing was scheduled before District Justice Michael Rubish, who arraigned Thomas and committed him to the county prison in lieu of $15,000 percentage bond. Police said Thomas posted bond and was released on Dec. 23. Trooper Christopher Terrana asks anybody with information about Thomas’s whereabouts to call him at 724-439-7111.

Passenger hurt
State police said Penny McShane, 18, of Uniontown, who was a passenger in a car driven by a 17-year-old male, suffered major injuries Nov. 29 when the driver lost control and hit a utility pole along Route 21 near Playford Road. She was flown to Presbyterian Hospital. The driver, who was not identified, had moderate injuries.

Art Cassin, of 510 Cassin Ave., Newell, told the Southwest Regional Police that someone flattened the right rear tire on his work truck. The incident occurred between 8:30 p.m. Dec. 29 and 3:30 a.m. Dec. 30. The incident was reported to the police Dec. 31 at 10:50 p.m.

The Southwest Regional Police arrested a Grindstone man on outstanding bench warrants following a traffic stop in Newell Dec. 31 at 2:20 a.m.
According to police, Cordele Patterson, 30, of Grindstone was transported to the Fayette County Prison pending a hearing on the two bench warrants.

State police said a vehicle operated by a Charleston, W.Va., man struck a trailer along Rolling Meadows Road owned by Howard Homes and then fled the scene Wednesday at 12:24 a.m.

According to state police, Valarie Buday of Rices Landing suffered minor injuries when the vehicle she was operating along Route 21 struck an embankment and rolled over due to icy road conditions Dec. 23 at 5:20 p.m. Buday was transported to Greene County Memorial Hospital for treatment.

State police said a 16-year-old boy and Rodney Russell Angelo, 24, were charged with theft from motor vehicles following two incidents early Saturday. Robert Lee Blosser, 39, and Robert Carl Fisher, 34, told state police items were taken from their vehicles between 12:30 and 1 a.m. Saturday. The charges were filed at the Fayette County Juvenile Probation office and the office of District Justice Randy Abraham, police said.

Sometime between 7 p.m. and 10 p.m. on Dec. 31, someone kicked a lighted sign outside the Morning Star Baptist Church on Third Street in Newell. There was moderate damage done to the sign. Police are continuing to investigate.

Armed robbery
An arrest warrant has been issued for Kenneth Joseph Straight, 28, of 1 High Ave., Masontown, for allegedly hitting an auto shop owner in the head with a ball bat and then robbing him with a knife and gun Monday, state police said. Straight allegedly entered Rob’s Tires and Auto, 4737 Morgantown Road, Lake Lynn, and hit Keith Robert Lowman, 37, of Masontown over the head with a bat at 3 a.m., police said. Straight then brandished a gun, held it to the victim’s head and then pulled a knife with his other hand and held it to the victim’s throat, police said. Lowman turned over about $800 and Straight fled. Charges were filed against him at District Justice Randy Abraham’s office.

Cash stolen
State police said two young women entered the Dairy Mart on Hopwood-Fairchance Road Monday at 7:15 p.m., caused a diversion and stole $380 from a lottery cash drawer. The suspects are described as white and in their 20s. One is 5 feet 5 inches tall, 150 pounds with shoulder length brown hair. The second one is 5 feet 4 inches tall, 120 pounds with red hair. They fled in a red two-door coupe.

City police said Leo Schoch’s 114 W. Berkeley St. home was broken into and a bag of tools was stolen between 6:30 p.m. Sunday and Monday morning.

City police said someone broke into Teddy’s Bar and Restaurant on Pittsburgh Street, stole $20 from the cash register and stole money from two vending machines.
Police said it appeared that unknown burglars removed a fan vent, reached inside and unlocked a side door. The incident was reported Monday at 8:47 a.m.
