Mary Sevolla Glodziak
Mary J. “Mary Fluzzy” “Baba” Sevolla Glodziak, age 86, of Filbert 2, Pennsylvania, passed away Friday, January 7, 2005, in Uniontown Hospital, Uniontown, Pa. She was born September 15, 1918, in Royal, Fayette County, Pennsylvania, daughter of John and Mary (Mascella) Sevolla.
Mary was a member of Saint Thomas Roman Catholic Church in Footedale (Pa.) where she was a member of The Confraternity of Christian Mothers.
She was a Committee Woman for Redstone Township, District Four, for almost 30 years.
Mary was predeceased by her husband, Casimer F. “Fluzzy” Glodziak, three great grandchildren, Magdalene, Stephen and John Jr., sister, Anna Mudrey Gaffey, two brothers, John and George Sevolla, and her parents.
She is survived by her four children: Frank Glodziak and his wife, Ann, of Parma, Ohio, Helen Mills of Searights, Pennsylvania, Joseph Glodziak and his wife, Jeanie, of Myrtle Beach, South Carolina, and M. Jane Ranney of Eastlake, Ohio; three great granddaughters whom she raised: Sara Tobias Remington, Mary Elizabeth Tobias and Jolene Tobias; nine grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren; two great-great grandchildren; five nieces and two nephews.
Friends will be received in the DEARTH FUNERAL HOME, 35 South Mill Street, New Salem, Pa., on Sunday and Monday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be said on Tuesday, January 11, at 10 a.m. in Saint Thomas Roman Catholic Church, Footedale, with the Rev. Father James L. Popochock as Celebrant.
Interment will follow in Saint Thomas Roman Catholic Church Cemetery, Footedale.
A Parish Wake Service will be held in the Funeral Home on Sunday at 7:30 p.m.
