Sanford W. “Jack” Brothers, age 71, of Mount Pleasant R.D.4, Pa., who was born in Smock, Pa., a veteran of the Korean era who served in the Merchant Marines and also the United States Army (discharged as a Sergeant E-5), retired from Kensington Lamp Company in Youngwood, Pa., and had also worked for Modulus Corporation and in construction for H&S Builders, died Wednesday, January 5, 2005, in UPMC Shadyside, Pittsburgh, Pa. “Jack” is survived by his wife of 46 years, Patricia Minick Brothers; brother-in-law, Richard A. Minick, and nephew, Brian R. Minick, both of Mount Pleasant R.D.4; his foster brother, Donald Hoke of Acme, Pa.; and his foster sister, Lois Bitner of Yalaha, Florida.

Friends will be received at Galone-Caruso’s, A Golden Rule Funeral Home, 204 Eagle Street, Mount Pleasant, Pa., today (January 8) until 10:15 a.m.
