Jerome E. “Jerry” Klein, age 83, of Long Beach, California, and formerly of Uniontown, Pa., and Point Marion, Pa., who graduated from the former Point Marion High School in 1939, attended Penn State University and West Virginia University, and along with his brothers owned and operated the family business, Klein’s Department Store in Point Marion until 1985, passed away peacefully on Friday, December 31, 2004, in his home. He is survived by his wife, Sandra Fischman Klein; stepdaughters: Judith Wasserlauf of Cherry Hill, New Jersey, Barbara Bowlen of Pittsburgh, Pa., Karen Stutzer of Rancho Bernardo, California, and Lesli Shishim of Long Beach, California; brothers: Harold Klein of Cape Coral, Florida, and Bernard Klein of Green Valley, Arizona; several nephews and their families; and many friends in the Uniontown (Pa.) and Point Marion (Pa.) area.

Friends will be received in the Richard R. Herod Funeral Home, 501 Morgantown Street, Point Marion, Pa., on Tuesday, January 11, 2005, from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.
