Harry L. Brownfield
Harry L. Brownfield, age 79, of Fairchance, Pa., and formerly of Little Brownfield, Pa., passed away Sunday, January 9, 2005, in the Uniontown Hospital. He was born March 1, 1925, in Uniontown, Pa., son of Isaac Hopwood Brownfield and Irene McCauley Brownfield.
Harry was a member of Fairchance Church of The Brethren.
He was a Veteran of World War II who served in the United States Army and then served for a number of years in the Merchant Marines.
Harry was a member of American Legion Post 51 in Uniontown and was a retired truck driver.
He was predeceased by his wife, Louise Brownfield, two brothers, Clark and William Brownfield, and parents.
Surviving are his son, Patrick Brownfield and his wife, Christine, of Uniontown, Pa.; two stepsons: William Blaker and his wife, Sharon, of Uniontown and Don H. Blaker and his wife, Connie, of Milwaukee, Wisconsin; seven grandchildren: Scott Brownfield of Uniontown, Pam Muha, Billie Joe Blaker, Kelly Blaker, Donna Angelo, Crystal Blaker and Donnie Blaker; nine great grandchildren; one sister, Gweneth Marie Thomas of Hopwood, Pa.; a brother, Isaac “Bud” Brownfield of Columbus, Ohio; and a special friend, Sue Organt of Fairchance.
Friends will be received in the DONALD R. CRAWFORD FUNERAL HOME, Hopwood, Pa., today from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. where Funeral Services will be held Wednesday, January 12, at 1 p.m.
Interment will be in Oak Lawn Cemetery, Uniontown, where Military Honors will be accorded at graveside by Uniontown American Legion Post 51 and North Union V.F.W. Post 8543.
