Jack D. Wells, 71, of Scottdale R.D. 1, Pa., died unexpectedly early Monday morning, Jan. 10, 2005, in Frick Hospital, Mount Pleasant. Jack was a retired computer draftsman for ASEA Brown Boveri, formerly of Greensburg, with 47 years of service. He was a graduate of the Milwaukee School of Engineering with an associate degree.

Jack leaves to cherish his memories his loving and devoted wife of 29 years, Joyce A. Geska Wells, whom he married on Jan. 21, 1975; three children, Rebecca S. Lauffer and her husband, John F. of Ruffsdale, Russell D. Wells and his wife, Cynthia D. of Mount Pleasant, and Joseph A. Wells and his wife, Tracy L. of Alverton; six grandchildren; his brother, James E. Wells and his wife, Lori of Scottdale; and his brother-in-law, Allen Geska and his wife, Barbara of Scottdale.

Jack’s family welcomes friends to the Frank Kapr Funeral Home Inc., 417 West Pittsburgh St., Scottdale, today from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m., and Wednesday from 9 to 10:15 a.m., followed by a funeral service at 10:30 a.m., in the funeral home.
