Mary Ann Speshock
Mary Ann (Salopek) Speshock, 82, formerly of McClellandtown, Pa., died Tuesday, Jan. 11, 2005, in Euclid, Ohio. She was born on Dec. 25, 1922, in Grindstone, Pa., a daughter of the now late Peter and Mary (Zeock) Salopek.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Albert T. Speshock in 1987; five brothers, Peter, Michael, John and Thomas Salopek and an infant brother, Paul Salopek.
Mary was a member of All Saints Roman Catholic Church of Masontown.
Mary was the Clerk at the A&P in Masontown, for 30 years. She was a member of the Faith-Gray-McArdle VFW Post 4584 Auxiliary and Fort Mason American Legion Post 423 Auxiliary and The Catholic Daughters of America.
Surviving are two brothers, Paul Salopek and wife, Melvia of Cleveland, Ohio, and George Salopek and wife, Patricia of Willoughby, Ohio; two sisters, Katherine Morgan and husband, Ken of Pittsburgh, Ohio, and Rose Mary Bolas and husband, Andre of Mentor-on-the Lake, Ohio; and many nieces and nephews.
Friends will be received in the HAKY FUNERAL HOMES INC., A Dignity Memorial Provider, 515 North Main St., Masontown, today from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m., and on Saturday, Jan. 15, 2005, until 10:30 a.m., when Prayers of Transfer will be said. A Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 11 a.m., in All Saints R.C. Church, Masontown, with the Rev. Fr. James F. Bump as celebrant. Entombment will follow in Sylvan Heights Chapel of Memories Mausoleum, Uniontown.
