Maryann Marcinko
Maryann Richnavsky Marcinko, 74, of Uniontown, passed away peacefully Thursday morning, January 13, 2005, in the Uniontown Hospital. She was born March 11, 1930, in Uniontown, the daughter of the late John Stephen Richnavsky and Susan Palla Richnavsky.
She was also preceded in death by her beloved husband, Charles Raymond Marcinko on October 18, 1984.
Maryann was a member of Saint Mary (Nativity) Roman Catholic Church, Saint Mary Rosary Altar Society, the Christian Mothers, Saint Mary’s Golden Club, Catholic Daughters of the Americas Court No. 505, Southwestern Pennsylvania Slovak Association, Greater Fayette County Pro-Life Committee, Uniontown Area Conference Saint Vincent DePaul Society and Saint Mary’s Ladies of Charity. She was also an avid collector of angel memorabilia, and was a long-time member of Angels of the World.
She was a graduate of Georges Township High School Class of 1947, and was a day manager and board member of Saint Vincent DePaul Society.
She is survived by her loving children, Linda Mackey and husband William of Penn Hills, Pa., Kathleen Pastories and husband Larry of Scenery Hill, Pa., Charles R. Marcinko, Jr., and wife Paulette of Uniontown and Pamela Johnston and husband James of Upper Middletown; grandchildren, Melissa Mackey, Maria DeLima, Lisa Demeter, Kristina Cooper, Charles Marcinko, Christopher Marcinko, Miranda Johnston and Arianna Johnston; great-grandchild, Skyla Demeter; and her sister, Helen Mandock of Zelienople, Pa.
Friends will be received in the STEPHEN E. KEZMARSKY III FUNERAL HOME, at 71 Pennsylvania Avenue, Uniontown, Pa., today from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m., and Saturday until 9:45 a.m., when Prayers of Transfer will be said, followed by a 10:30 a.m. Mass of Christian Burial in Saint Mary (Nativity) R.C. Church, with the Rev. Fr. Micah Kozoil as celebrant. Interment follows in Saint Mary’s R.C. Church Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Saint Vincent DePaul.
Saint Mary’s Christian Mothers, Rosary Altar Society, Catholic Daughters Court No. 505 of Uniontown and Saint Vincent DePaul Society will join together to pray the rosary in Maryann’s honor today at 3 p.m.
