Maggie ‘Blanche’ VanSickle Frantz
Maggie ‘Blanche’ VanSickle Frantz, age 91, of Markleysburg, Pa., passed away Thursday, January 13, 2005.
She was born April 27, 1913, in Friendsville, Maryland, to Lott and Mary (Humberson) VanSickle.
“Blanche” is a member of Blooming Rose Church and a former member of the Mountain Area Senior Citizens.
“Blanche” will be missed for her terrific personality that made people laugh with her and also for her willingness to help others!
Preceding her in death were her husband, Charles Kenneth Frantz in 1978, a son-in-law, Altha “Skeeter” Guseman in 2004, four sisters, Evelyn Jenkins, Agnes Teets, Loretta VanSickle and Helen Thomas, and her parents.
Surviving are her son, Charles Vernon Frantz of Uniontown, Pa.; a daughter, JoAnn Guseman of Markleysburg, Pa.; two grandchildren: Michelle Guseman of California state and Michael Guseman of Markleysburg, Pa.; a beloved cat, Fluffy; four granddogs: Maggie Lou, Rusty Damian, Lenny Poopers and Samantha; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was the last surviving member of her immediate family.
Friends will be received in the DONALD R. CRAWFORD FUNERAL HOME OF FARMINGTON, Pa., today from 1 to 9 p.m. and Sunday, January 16, until 2:30 p.m., the hour of Service with the Rev. Neil A. Stevens officiating.
Interment will be in Blooming Rose Cemetery.
