Man charged

State police in Uniontown served an arrest warrant for drug possession on Jeremiah Wilson Worley, 19, at his 403 S. Francis Ave. residence Wednesday. Upon serving the warrant, Worley was allegedly in possession of additional marijuana and drug paraphernalia, police said.

Worley was arrested and arraigned at District Justice Ronald J. Haggerty’s office for additional drug charges and placed in the Fayette County Prison in lieu of a $5,000 10 percent bond.

Counterfeiting logged

Charges were filed on Jan. 3. against Terrance Lewis Sr. of Uniontown and Lewis was placed on a $10,000 unsecured bond after several name brand items found in a vehicle he was driving were identified as being counterfeit, state police said. A Nov. 21 search of the 1999 Jeep Cherokee Lewis operated along Carson Street yielded a Glock pistol, 43 Louis Vuitton items of varying types including purses, 14 additional designer items of various brand names and 23 DVDs. Police listed the victims of the counterfeiting as Louis Vuitton of New York, N.Y., and the Motion Picture Association of America.

Police initially conducted a traffic stop on the vehicle for a registration plate light violation. A warrant against Lewis was served on Jan. 13. A preliminary hearing has yet to be scheduled, according to police.

Purse stolen

Emma Jean Dziak of Uniontown told state police she left her purse in a shopping cart at the Goodwill store at 5:45 p.m. Wednesday and when she returned, it had been stolen.

Connellsville Twp.

Charges filed

State police charged James Lee Earnesty, 24, of Connellsville with burglary after he allegedly kicked the front door of 28-year-old Heather Dawn Kent’s Springfield Pike residence and stole a pit bull puppy and $130 at 9:30 p.m. Wednesday. Police said Earnesty was arraigned before District Justice Ronald J. Haggerty Sr., who set a $5,000 unsecured bond. Police noted that Earnesty was released pending a hearing.

Motorcycle stolen

Frank Arlen Bennett of Uniontown was charged with theft of a motor vehicle after he allegedly confessed to stealing and selling Leisenring resident Sandra Ileen Burnworth’s Yamaha motorcycle on Wednesday, state police said. A preliminary hearing is pending, police said.

No one injured

City police said no one was injured Thursday in a two vehicle collision on Delaware Avenue at 9:09 p.m. Police said both vehicles were damaged.

Woman cited

Tricia Crozier of Uniontown was cited with harassment after she allegedly yelled at her neighbor, Gayle Gordon of 3 East. Craig St., city police said. Gordon told police Crozier called her a liar as she walked to her car on her way to work Thursday at 9:50 a.m.

Vehicle damaged

Bruce Parnell of Nutt Avenue told city police Friday at 9:53 a.m. that he let a female friend borrow his vehicle Thursday night. Parnell told police she never returned his vehicle. Police said they later found the vehicle blocking Lenox Street. The vehicle was left running, had a flat tire on the front passenger’s side and no brakes, police said, adding that the vehicle was towed and Parnell was notified.

Man charged

City police said James Edward Pace Jr. of Uniontown was charged with reckless endangering of another, fleeing or attempting to elude police and disorderly conduct after police allegedly saw Pace riding a mini-motorized motorcycle on Millview Street at 5:13 p.m. Thursday.

Betty Swift of 84 Walnut St. told city police her son lost her cell phone sometime Thursday night along Gallatin Avenue.

Abandoned vehicle

City police said an abandoned vehicle was towed from the American Legion Post 51 parking lot on North Gallatin Avenue at 9:30 a.m. Friday.

Pay phone stolen

City police said a private pay phone valued at $275 was stolen from the entrance of Hong Kong Buffet located at 954 Morgantown St. at 7:41 p.m. Friday. Police said $40 in cash that was in the phone was also stolen.

Harassment charged

City police said Keith Amos of 145 Lincoln St. was charged with harassment at 5:46 p.m. Friday after Amos allegedly grabbed the arm of Trisha Retcofsky of 48 Evans St. and bruised it.

Glenn Smiley of 30 East Berkeley St. told city police Saturday at 11:54 a.m. that someone damaged a section of a fence on his property.

Shots fired

City police said an unknown caller told them gunshots were fired in the area of 38 Bierer Ave. at 10:41 p.m. Friday. Police said no suspects were found.

Calls reported

Keith Amos of 145 Lincoln St. told city police Friday at 10:01 p.m. that a woman known to him allegedly kept calling his phone and harassing him. Police said they spoke to the woman and told her to quit calling Amos. Police also said they told Amos to trace the calls and call 911 if the woman called him again.

Windows smashed

City police said someone smashed the rear windows out of two vehicles parked along Maurice Street sometime Friday night or early Saturday morning.

Sally Martin of 55 Maurice St. and Robert Daugherty Sr. of 19 Maurice St. reported that their vehicles had been damaged, police said. Daugherty told police that he saw a group of teenage boys walking in an alley near his residence around 2:30 a.m. Saturday. Police said they have no other leads.

Russell Hensley of 54 South Gordon St. told city police a Uniontown man stole his bicycle while Hensley was at a Connellsville Street business at 4:46 p.m. Friday.

Mary Flowers of 49 Lenox St. told city police Friday at 11:15 a.m. that someone struck her vehicle while it was parked in front of her residence.

Gayle Gordon of 3 East Craig St. told city police a group of teenagers threw eggs at her vehicle while she was driving on Lawn Street at 2:20 a.m. Saturday.

Fence damaged

City police said an unknown driver drove through the front yard of 36 Woodlawn Ave., causing major damage to a white vinyl fence Saturday at 3:33 a.m.

Nick John Cafasso, 24, of 234 Clinton Road told state police that a woman known to him came to his home, kicked him and threw a phone at him on Friday.

Jaclyn A. Friend of Hibbs Lane told state police that her vehicle was stolen from her residence sometime between Jan 8 and 15.

Accident reported

State police said that a vehicle operated by Judith D. Bane, 39, lost control on some ice while traveling on Leckrone-High House Road on Friday, and the car slid off the road. Both Bane and her passenger, Vince Weasenforth, 35, reported minor injuries, said police.

James Howdershelt of Fairchance told state police that on Thursday someone set fire to his car in an open field along Old Wynn Road, destroying his vehicle.

Car damaged

Theodore Minerd, 24, of Masontown told state police that someone smashed the driver’s side of his car on Saturday, causing $300 in damage.

Profanities yelled

State police reported that a known juvenile was yelling profanities at the Uniontown Mall on Friday.

Rifle stolen

Vernon Nathaniel Kitis, 33, told state police that between Jan. 10 and 14 someone stole his rifle.

Woman injured

State police said that Jamie Lee Brangard, 33, of Fairchance lost control of her vehicle as she was traveling on Club Sofia Road on Friday. The vehicle struck a tree head-on, causing major injuries to Brangard’s head and neck, according to police.

She was transported to Uniontown Hospital and transferred by medical helicopter to Ruby Memorial Hospital, Morgantown, W.Va.

Theft reported

Joshua Ryan Francis, 19, of Hibbs told state police that between Thursday and Friday someone stole a Clarion CD player, 30 compact discs, three textbooks, a Cleveland Sand Wedge golf club and $80 cash from his car.
