Walter H. ‘Bup’ McCoy

Walter H. ‘Bup’ McCoy, age 81, of Uledi, Pa., died Thursday, January 13, 2005, at his residence with his loving family by his side.

He was born November 20, 1923, in Uledi, Pa., son of Jerry McCoy and Helency Winkle McCoy.

He was a veteran of World War II who served in the United States Army.

“Bup” was employed for 23 years with Sears Roebuck Company in Uniontown (Pa.) until his retirement.

He was also a former member and past President of the HoBo Model Railroad Club of Connellsville, Pa., former member of the Revere Free Methodist Church, and was currently attending Solid Rock Ministries in Uniontown.

He was predeceased by his parents, six brothers and two sisters.

Surviving are his wife of 53 years, Doris Jean Lowery McCoy; three children: Ruth Lint and husband, John, of Uledi, Pa., Timothy McCoy and wife, Linda, of Masontown, Pa. and Thomas McCoy and wife, Bobbi, of Uledi, Pa.; six grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; a sister, Helency Sisko of Masontown, Pa.; and two brothers: Robert McCoy of Balsinger, Pa., and Ralph McCoy of Uledi, Pa.

The family will receive friends in the DEAN C. WHITMARSH FUNERAL HOME, 134 West Church Street, Fairchance, Pa., today (Sunday, January 16) until 2 p.m., the hour of Service with Pastor Buzz Hall officiating.

Interment will follow in Jacobs Lutheran Cemetery, German Township, Pa.

Visitation was also held Friday from 7 to 9 p.m. and Saturday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.
