Lawrence W. Ewing
Lawrence Wayne Ewing, 62, of Fredericktown, Pa., died Monday, Jan. 17, 2005, in his home. He was born Sept. 22, 1942, in LaBelle, Pa., a son of the late Lawrence E. and Julia Bilpush Ewing.
Mr. Ewing was a veteran of the U.S. Army, having served during Vietnam. He retired from the Gateway Coal Mine. Mr. Ewing was a member of the United Mine Workers of America Local 6330, West Brownsville American Legion Post 940, and the Veterans of Foreign Wars.
On May 9, 1968, he married Dorothy Chimileski Ewing, who survives.
Surviving, in addition to his wife, are two sons, Wayne Ewing of Fredericktown, Pa., and Ron Ewing of Eglin Air Force Base, Fla.; one daughter, Kim Rose of Ellsworth, Pa.; five grandchildren, Jessica Ewing of Ellsworth, Pa., Monika Ewing of Fredericktown, Pa., Nicole Rose and Michael Rose, both of Ellsworth, Pa., and Grace Ewing of Fredericktown, Pa.; two brothers, Charles Ewing of Brownsville, Pa., and Gary Ewing of Malden, Pa.; one sister, Betty Keys of Smephport, Pa.; and several nieces and nephews.
Deceased, in addition to his parents, is a brother, Howard “Sonny” Ewing..
