Thelma C. Rodgers, 83, of Uniontown, Pa., and formerly of Royal, Pa., passed away Tuesday Jan. 18, 2005, in Mt. Macrina Manor. She was born May 20, 1921, in Illinois, daughter of the late Curtis and Zena Harper Hill.

In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her husband, James Milton Rodgers; a sister, Mary Estocko; and a brother, Frederick Hill.

She is survived by six daughters and a son, Judith Smitley and her husband, Paul of Point Marion, Fredia Ritter and her husband, Barry of Friedens, Pa., Linda Simon and her husband, Joe of Greensburg, Pa., Frances Williams and her husband, Albert of Perryopolis, Della Peterson and her husband, Donald of Massillon, Ohio, Kathy Miller of Lake Lynn, W.Va., and James Michael Rodgers and his wife, Karen of New Salem; 24 grandchildren; and 25 great-grandchildren.

Friends will be received in the DEARTH FUNERAL HOME, New Salem, today from 4 to 8 p.m., and until 11 a.m., on Friday, the hour of service, with the Rev. Roland M. O’Brien officiating. Interment will follow in LaFayette Memorial Park, Brier Hill, Pa.
