Glenn Leslie “Juiceman” Tunney
Glenn Leslie “Juiceman” Tunney, age 78, of West Brownsville, Pennsylvania, died on Friday, January 21, 2005 at home.
He was born on December 16, 1926, in Blainesburg, West Brownsville, Pennsylvania, son of Clifford Floyd Tunney and Mabel McCleary Tunney.
Mr. Tunney was a member and former Trustee of the First United Methodist Church of Brownsville, Pa.
He graduated from the now former East Pike Run High School and served in the United States Army in postwar Japan and the Philippines.
He retired in 1992 as a driver from the Monongahela Railroad in Brownsville, Pa.
Previously he worked at West Penn Feed in West Brownsville, Pa., and then as a home delivery salesman for King Juices and also H&H Juices.
He was a member of American Legion Post 940, West Brownsville, Pa.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Clifford and Mabel Tunney, a sister, Muriel Tunney Nickalo, and a brother, Clifford Gene Tunney.
Surviving are his wife of 55 years, Esther Baldi Tunney; three children: Glenn A. Tunney and his wife, Melissa, of Grindstone, Pa., Cheryl Tunney Adams and her husband, Kenneth Adams, of Belle Vernon, Pa., and Kathy Tunney Kraynak of Uniontown, Pa.; beloved grandchildren: Scott Adams, Kristen Tunney and Kelly Tunney; two sisters: Kathleen Tunney Holzapfel of Brownsville, Pa., and Ruth Tunney Jones of West Brownsville; six brothers: Earl Tunney and Walter Tunney both of West Brownsville, Edward Tunney of Brownsville, Melvin Tunney of Salem, Oregon, Norman Lee Tunney of Dover, Delaware, and Ray Tunney of Shelby, Ohio; and numerous nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends at the NOVAK FUNERAL HOME (formerly Confer Funeral Home), 515 Front Street, Brownsville, Pa., today from 1 to 6 p.m. and Monday, January 24, until 11 a.m., the hour of Service with the Reverend Paul Wilson officiating.
Interment will follow in Lafayette Memorial Park, Brier Hill, Pa., where Military Honors will be accorded by American Legion Post 940 of West Brownsville.
