Albert “Bugsy” Cursi Jr.
Albert “Bugsy” Cursi Jr., 70, of Eighty Four, Pa., died at 12:45 p.m., on Jan. 24, 2005, in his home. Mr. Cursi worked as a coal miner for several years with the Bethlehem Mine No. 60 and J & L Steel, Vesta No. 4 Mine. He left the mines in 1982 to become a Federal Mine Inspector with M.S.H.A. Mr. Cursi later worked as a U.S. Postal Carrier for the Upper St. Clair Post Office and Greentree Post office before retiring in 2001.
On Aug. 20, 1955, he married Ada Shepard, who survives. Also surviving are two sons, Gary Cursi of Seattle, Wash., and Albert Curse III of Marianna, Pa.; two daughters, Marina Calabrese of Washington, Pa., and Wendy Lowry of Centerville, Pa.; 12 grandchildren; one great-grandchild; three brothers, John and Eugene Cursi of Charleroi, Pa., and Ed Cursi of Washington, Pa.; and two sisters, Vera Urisc of Charleroi, Pa., and Bernadette Desanci of Deemston Boro.
Friends will be received from 7 to 9 p.m., this evening and from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m., on Wednesday, in the John B. Greenlee Funeral Home, 2830 Main St., Beallsville, Pa., where services will be held at 1 p.m., on Thursday, Jan. 27, 2005.
