Assault reported
City police said Grant Arnold of 250 S. Mount Vernon Ave. reported Friday at 7:09 p.m. that two black men came to his door and asked for someone who no longer lives there. Police said when he told them the person doesn’t live there, the pair entered and one of them hit him with a ball bat and the other one held a semi-automatic handgun to his face.

Man cited
Von Hilton Weygandt, 23, of 22 Rear Millview St. was cited with public drunkenness and disorderly conduct Friday at 8:20 p.m. after he allegedly came to the police station intoxicated, city police said. He said he wanted to file a complaint and officers told him to return Monday.
About an hour earlier, police were dispatched to a Lawn Avenue residence after 911 received a call and heard a female crying. The call was disconnected.
The female and Weygandt were at the residence, according to police. The female said she was OK and no charges were filed in connection with that incident.

Men harassed
Nelson Lee, 23, of Uniontown told state police two black men in their early to mid 20s entered his Searights residence Friday around 9 p.m. and struck him in the face with a pistol.
Police said the men also threw a picture frame at Keith Armstrong, 25, of Uniontown before fleeing the scene in a brown or maroon colored Pontiac Bonneville with the following stolen items: a rifle, a PlayStation II and a female pitt bull puppy.
Lee told police that one of the men was about 6 feet tall, weighing 140 pounds, with short, black hair. Police said the other man was described as being about 5 feet 8 inches tall and 200 pounds, with dark hair.

Gas stolen
State police said they will file charges against a Smithfield man who allegedly stole $27.35 worth of gasoline from J&G Foodmart, located along Route 857 in Haydentown, at 10:24 a.m. Friday.

Plate stolen
Patti McMann, 63, of 417 N. Main St. told borough police someone stole the license plate off her vehicle sometime Thursday night.

Credit card fraud reported
Frank Revak, 53, of Masontown told borough police someone used his credit card number to order seven boxes of the enhancement pill Alzare. Police said they have a suspect and charges are pending.

Vehicle recovered
Borough police said a 1999 Honda Civic owned by Terry Strube, 38, of Masontown was reported stolen early Friday morning.
The vehicle was later recovered parked along Route 21 just outside the borough, police said.

State police said Jacqueline Sumey, 38, of Chestnut Ridge was cited after Sumey allegedly slapped Rooney Sumey, 38, of Chestnut Ridge in the face Friday at 1:15 a.m.

Carrie Chambers of Scottdale told state police a Scottdale man damaged her van during an altercation Friday at 9:36 p.m.
