Theodore Goza
Theodore “Ted” Goza, age 87, of Carlisle Avenue, Morgantown, West Virginia, died Friday, January 28, 2005, in Ruby Memorial Hospital, Morgantown. He was born on July 6, 1917, in Carnegie, Pa., son of Walter Goza and Paulina Kaczmarek Goza.
“Ted” was a United States Army Veteran of World War II.
Following the war he served for five years in the Civilian Conservation Corps.
He retired in 1980 after working as a coal miner for Duquesne Light.
“Ted” was a member of Saint John’s University Parish, United Mine Workers of America Miners Local 6310 for many years, the Moose Club in Morgantown and the V.F.W.
He is survived by his wife of 42 years, Georgia Weese Goza; and one stepson, David Tenney and his wife, Charlotte, of Morgantown, West Virginia.
Friends may call at the HASTINGS FUNERAL HOME INC., 153 Spruce Street, Morgantown, West Virginia 26505 (304-292-8664) on Monday, January 31, from 4 to 8 p.m. and Tuesday, February 1, from 9:30 a.m. until 10:30 a.m. Funeral Service will begin at 10:30 a.m. with Rev. Father Donald X. Higgs and the Rev. Larry D. Buckland officiating.
Interment will follow in Beverly Hills Memorial Gardens, Morgantown.
