Connellsville man stabs his brother
BULLSKIN TWP. – A 22-year-old Connellsville man was charged with aggravated assault, simple assault and recklessly endangering another person after he stabbed his brother in the neck with a pair of scissors Wednesday night around 8:30 p.m. State police said William Anthony McLaughlin Jr. of Connellsville was charged before Magisterial District Judge Ronald Haggerty after he stabbed his brother, Michael McLaughlin, 20, also of Connellsville in the neck during an argument at their 698 Breakneck Road residence.
Police said Michael was transported to Highlands Hospital for treatment and then taken by helicopter to UPMC Presbyterian Hospital in Pittsburgh.
William was placed in the Fayette County Prison to await a preliminary hearing.
