Verizon supports cell phone drive

1 min read

Verizon Wireless supported the Laurel Highlands High School drive for Cell Phones for Soldiers with a $1,500 donation. Uniontown Mall store manager Bruce Kern presented a check to Terry Ainsley, a teacher at the high school who coordinated the fund-raising effort, and students, who collected more than 4,000 no-longer-used wireless phones. Funds raised through the program are used to purchase phone cards for U.S. soldiers serving overseas.
