Bessie Jane Stull Thorpe, age 86, of Dunbar, Pa., died Tuesday, June 28, 2005, in Cherry Tree Nursing Center, Uniontown, Pa.

She was born November 11, 1918, the daughter of Jefferson Stull and Sarah Stull.

Bessie was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Wilbert Thorpe (June 1999), and sons, Bobby Joe Thorpe, Thomas W. Thorpe and Roger Kenneth Thorpe.

Surviving are three sons: Jerry Thorpe of Uniontown, Pa., Harry Thorpe and wife, Carol, of Lemont Furnace, Pa., and Jefferson Thorpe and wife, Denise, of Vanderbilt, Pa.; daughters: Hazel Hannan and husband, Charles, of Georgia, Ann Thorpe of Ohio, and Cindy Thorpe of Uniontown, Pa.; grandchildren; great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews.

Friends will be received in the BURHANS-CROUSE FUNERAL HOME, 28 Connellsville Street, Dunbar, Pa., today from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. where Services will be held on Sunday, July 3, at 1 p.m. with Pastor Lee Maley officiating.

Interment will follow in Franklin Cemetery, Dunbar, Pa.

Visitation was also held Friday, July 1, from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.
