Robert L. Hamborsky

Robert L. Hamborsky, age 76, of 16 South Water Street, Masontown, Pa., died Friday, July 1, 2005, in West Virginia University Hospital (Ruby Memorial), Morgantown, West Virginia.

He was born February 10, 1929, in Lamberton, Fayette County, Pa., son of John Hamborsky and Louise (Blanc) Hamborsky.

Robert served in the United States Air Force and was a retired coal miner from Consol Energy.

He was a member of All Saints Roman Catholic Church, Masontown, Pa., the American Legion, The Pals Club, and the Veterans of Foreign Wars.

Robert was a Police Commissioner in Masontown and a member of the Fraternal Order of Police.

He was also a Committeeman in Masontown, a Fourth Degree Member of The Knights of Columbus and a past President of the Masontown Exchange Club.

Robert was predeceased by his parents, two sisters, Ruth Hamborsky and Dorothy Hamborsky, his twin brother, William Hamborsky, and another brother, Edward Hamborsky.

He is survived by his wife, Mary (Dolcha) Hamborsky; a daughter, Melinda Hamborsky of Masontown, Pa.; a brother, John Hamborsky and his wife, Polly, of Uniontown, Pa.; a sister, Mary Lou Hamborsky Cantini and her husband, Regis Cantini, of North Royalton, Ohio; and an uncle, Edward Blanc and his wife, Virginia, of New Salem, Pa.

The family will receive friends in the JOHN S. MAYKUTH JR. FUNERAL HOME, corner of Church at 7 River Avenue, Masontown, Pa., on Monday, July 4, from 2 to 9 p.m.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Tuesday, July 5, at 10 a.m. in ALL SAINTS ROMAN CATHOLIC CHURCH, Masontown, with the Rev. Father James F. Bump as Celebrant.

Interment will follow in Saint Agnes Cemetery, Masontown.
