Wilbert E. “Whitey” Keefe, age 80, of United, Pa., who was born in Acme, Pa., World War II United States Army veteran (3rd Infantry Division), an Anzio Beach prisoner of war and a World War II honoree, died Friday, July 1, 2005, in Allegheny General Hospital, Pittsburgh, Pa.

He is survived by two children: Donald E. Keefe and his wife, Lynn, of Kecksburg, Pa., and Beverly Keefe Keslar and her husband, Richard Keslar, of Norvelt, Pa.; grandchildren: Keri Little and her husband, the Rev. Chris Little, of Fayetteville, Pa., Kelly Keefe and her husband, Derek Kalp, of State College, Pa., Dr. Adam Keefe and his wife, Dr. Sara Miller, of Suffolk, Virginia, and Richard Keefe of Norvelt, Pa.; six great grandchildren; sisters: Ruth Keefe Keslar of Jones Mills, Pa., Verna Keefe Grace of Greensburg, Pa., and Gladys Keefe Stoner of Latrobe, Pa.; nieces; nephews; and his cat, “Curly”.

Friends will be received in the Jay A. Hoffer Funeral Home, Norvelt, Pa., today from 7 to 9 p.m., Tuesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. and Wednesday, July 6, until 11 a.m.
