Woman, child injured Susan E. Thomas, 19, of Dunbar remained in serious condition at the UPMC Presbyterian Hospital in Pittsburgh on Monday after the vehicle she was driving hit a tree Sunday at 4 p.m. along Route 982.

Thomas’ 2-year-old female passenger, whom police did not identify, was taken to Children’s Hospital in Pittsburgh.

The Bullskin Township Volunteer Fire Department and Fayette EMS responded to the scene.

Fairchance

Church burglarized

State police said someone entered the Fairchance Church of Worship at 70 Sheldon Ave. and stole a Dell desktop computer 2400 series between 9:30 p.m. Wednesday and 7 a.m. Thursday.

Charges pending

Charges are pending against a Smithfield man state police pulled over for driving under the influence of alcohol along Route 43 at 3:14 a.m. Sunday.

Man cited

Christopher Glen Greer of Uniontown was cited for harassment after he allegedly grabbed Lakisha L. Mio-Barnes of Uniontown by the throat and shoved her at 203 Woodview Terrace at 3:40 p.m. Sunday, state police said.

Two injured

Kimberly D. Smith, 23, and her passenger, Elizabeth A. Colteryahn, 22, both of Aliquippa, were treated at Uniontown Hospital after the van Smith drove left Route 381 near Dinnerbell Road and struck a tree at 10:12 a.m. Sunday, state police said.

Both women were wearing seatbelts, police said. Firefighters from Farmington, Ohiopyle and Springfield Township assisted police at the scene.

Burglary attempted

Brandi Cooley of Waynesburg told state police that someone attempted to enter her 1185 E. High St. residence through an open window around 6 p.m. Thursday.

Citations pending

State police will issue harassment citations against a 34-year-old Waynesburg woman and a 25-year-old Waynesburg man after an altercation at their residence in Reesman’s Mobile Home Park at 6 a.m. Saturday. Police said the Waynesburg man will be cited for harassment after an altercation with a 16-year-old boy who was staying at the residence.

Man cited

State police at Waynesburg cited Eric Ray Bedillion, 25, of Waldorf, Md., for disorderly conduct after police observed Bedillion allegedly urinating along Rolling Meadows Road at 2:20 a.m. Saturday.

CD player stolen

State police at Waynesburg said someone stole a JVC compact disc player from 60-year-old Washington resident Gino Fonda’s boat, docked at a marina, between 5 p.m. June 26 and 9 a.m. Friday.

Investigation continues

State police continue to investigate an incident where someone entered the 444 2nd St. residence of Rudolph John Paci, 68, of Vestaburg and took numerous items from inside around 5 p.m. Friday.

Charges will be filed

State police will file a charge of drug possession against a 27-year-old Fredricktown man after police found him in possession of a small amount of marijuana during a traffic stop at the intersection of Water Street and Crawford Road at 7:40 p.m. Friday.

Charges filed

John Henry Lancaster, 35, of Vestaburg and a Vestaburg juvenile were charged with harassment at Magisterial District Judge William Pelkey’s office after the two allegedly engaged in a physical confrontation at 452 First St. in Vestaburg at 10 p.m. Friday, state police said.

No one hurt

State police said no one was hurt in a one-vehicle accident along South Branch Muddy Creek Road near Route 21 at 8:55 a.m. Monday. A 1994 Honda Civic sedan driven by Jacob A. Rickard, 19, of Mount Morris rolled onto its roof after it failed to negotiate a turn in the roadway. Police issued two traffic citations against Rickard.

Rickard and his passengers – Amanda Lynn Cramer, 20, of Waynesburg, and three Carmichaels juveniles – were wearing seatbelts, police noted.

Minor injury reported

Vincent Thompson, 24, of Waynesburg suffered a minor injury when the Mazda 626 he was driving traveled across the northbound lane of Route 19 and up a steep embankment before it collided with and sheared off a utility pole and then rolled over at 11:25 p.m. Sunday, state police said.

Man charged

John Henry McDonald Jr., 29, of 1115 W. Railroad Road, Sycamore, was charged with attempted burglary, terroristic threats, simple assault, harassment and disorderly conduct after he allegedly attempted to break into 47-year-old Kathy Darlene Grim’s 196 Walker Road residence in Sycamore and then yelled and shouted obscenities at Jamie Lynn Grim, 23, of Sycamore and Mark Albert Russell, 26, of Canonsburg at 3:35 a.m. Saturday.

Police said McDonald threatened the residents and fled the scene before troopers arrived. He later called the residence several times, shouting obscenities, police said. Police took McDonald into custody at his Sycamore residence a short time later. He was arraigned before Magisterial District Judge Lee Watson.

Public drunkenness

State police said they found a highly intoxicated Finleyville man in a grocery store parking lot at 4:19 a.m. Friday. Police did not state whether charges were filed in the incident.

Perry Twp.

Gasoline stolen

State police said someone stole $32.50 worth of regular unleaded gasoline at BFS Foods at the Mount Morris truck stop at 5:25 p.m. Saturday. The suspect was driving a red and gray older model Ford Ranger or similar style vehicle with a black front fender with the letters “AR” printed on it and “STREET DREAMS” written across the front. Anyone with information is asked to call state police in Waynesburg at 724-627-6151.

Man flown

Michael McGuire, 52, of Prosperity was flown to Ruby Memorial Hospital for treatment of injuries sustained after the 1981 Suzuki motorcycle he was driving traveled off the edge of Dillie Run Road near Route 221 and hit a mailbox and a small ditch before continuing across a driveway, striking a garbage can and coming to a rest in another ditch at 6 p.m. Saturday. Police said McGuire was not wearing a helmet. EMS Southwest assisted at the scene.

State police said a 17-year-old Waynesburg boy allegedly struck Janice Morton, 47, of Waynesburg in the face during an argument at a Woodland Avenue residence at 3:30 p.m. Saturday.

Cash stolen

Someone stole $200 from a bedroom drawer after entering the 1732 S. Eighty-Eight Road residence of Sarina L. Strosnyder, 24, of Greensboro sometime between 10 and 11 p.m. Saturday, state police said.

Criminal mischief

State police said someone pushed over a vending machine at the Eberly Ball Park at 10:19 p.m. June 18, causing minor damage to the machine. Anyone with information is asked to call state police in Uniontown at 724-439-7111.

Explosive used

State police said someone used an unknown explosive to damage the window and dashboard of Charles Eugene Zebro’s 1993 Dodge Shadow along Clarendon Avenue at 11:30 p.m. Sunday.

Retail theft

State police said someone driving a white Chevrolet Blazer pumped $10 worth of gasoline at the Dairy Mart along Dixon Boulevard and drove off without paying at 3:20 p.m. Monday.

Solar lights stolen

Someone stole four Hampton Bay solar lights from the yard of 53-year-old Mary Irene Budinsky’s Mountain View Road residence sometime between 11 p.m. Sunday and 5 a.m. Monday, state police said.

Firewood burned

State police said someone burned 10 cords of firewood belonging to Ronald Alonzo Ritenour, 36, of Acme sometime between midnight and 12:30 a.m. Sunday.

Vehicle scratched

Someone scratched the driver side fender and doors of 35-year-old Grindstone resident Laura L. Holup’s 2003 Chevrolet Trailblazer while it was parked behind a restaurant from 1 to 9:10 p.m. Sunday, state police said.

Man injured

State police said Philip Bucciarelli, 91, suffered minor injuries when the 1991 Dodge Spirit he was operating traveled off Prittstown Road and struck a Verizon utility pole at 9:10 a.m. Wednesday. Bucciarelli was transported to Frick Hospital for treatment. Bullskin Township Volunteer Fire Department assisted at the scene with traffic control.

Uniontown

ATV accident

Todd M. O’Brien, 27, of Uniontown and Amy L. Budner, 26, of Hopwood suffered minor injuries when the all-terrain vehicle O’Brien operated on Brushwood Road near Areford Road overturned at 8:37 p.m. Wednesday, state police said. Both parties were taken to Uniontown Hospital, police said.
