Archie H. Miller, 87, of Fairchance, Pa., died Tuesday, July 5, 2005, peacefully at his residence. He was born in Georges Township, Pa., son of the late Samuel H. Miller and Ola Swaney Miller.

Archie was the owner and operator of Miller’s Sinclair and Keystone Gas Station of Fairchance, Pa., for over 45 years.

He graduated from Georges Township High School, in 1936.

Archie was a member of the Trinity United Methodist Church of Fairchance.

In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his wife of 63 years, Ora Mae Fields Miller in April of 2003, whom he married on July 5, 1940; and his twin sister, Ada Miller Willey.

He is survived by a son, Arch H. Miller Jr., and wife, Joyce of Fairchance, Pa., and a son, Samuel R. Miller of Smithfield, Pa., and close friend, Lora Beth DiDominic of Fairchance, Pa.; grandchildren, Ray O. Miller and wife, Collett, Lorrie Miller and fianc?, Taylor Barnhart and Jeffery C. Miller; great-grandchildren, Reid Miller, Rachael Miller and Anya Miller; and two sisters, Grace Chipps of Smithfield, Pa., and Wilma Gail Reese and husband, Wayne of Rubles Mill, Pa.

The family will receive friends in the DEAN C. WHITMARSH FUNERAL HOME, 134 West Church St., Fairchance, Pa., today from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m., and on Friday, July 8, 2005, until 11 a.m., the hour of service, with the Rev. Maggie Foreman officiating. Interment will follow in Maple Grove Cemetery, Fairchance, Pa.
