Marie E. Thornton
Marie Elizabeth Hatalsky Thornton, 62, passed away on July 4, 2005, at Brownsville General Hospital. Marie was born on September 11, 1942 in West Brownsville, Pa., a daughter of Isabel Horwath Hatalsky of West Brownsville, Pa., and the late Charles Hatalsky.
Marie was a member of the Allison Christian Church.
Marie graduated from California High School, Class of 1960, and she was a licensed Cosmetologist. She had been employed as a receptionist at WEAM Radio station in Virginia, as well as a nurses’ aide at Western Center, Canonsburg, Pa., and also a stenographer.
Besides her father, Marie was predeceased by a brother, Charles (Bo Bo) Hatalsky
Surviving are her mother, Isabel Horwath Hatalsky of West Brownsville, Pa.; two daughters, Tara Lee Kimmell of Uniontown, Pa., and Tracy Lynn Thornton of Paso Robles, Calif.; a son, Randy Thornton of Flintstone, Md.; four grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; a brother, Barry Hatalsky and wife, Margie of West Brownsville, Pa.; a sister, Carolyn Hatalsky Huff and husband, Michael of Greensboro, Pa.; and four nephews.
A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, June 9, at 10 a.m. in the SKIRPAN FUNERAL HOME,135 Park Street, Brownsville, Pa., with the Rev. Michael Peton officiating.
Interment in the Taylor Cemetery.
